This lovely little museum holds many off Puccini's scores , letters, costumes from operas, and photos. There is a wonderful statue of the maestro outside . Aronfdthe museum are many little restauranyts bearing the names of his works. All provide a tasty lunch.

My husband and I stopped in for a quick tour of Puccini's Home when we were exploring Lucca. It was well-done, and gave a great snapshot of the composer's life. The costumes were impressive, and the handwritten letters and artifacts were in great condition. I...More

We enjoyed seeing Puccini’s home and artifacts, letters, plus photos from his life. The descriptions are in English and Italian. The room set up like the garrett in La Boheme was fascinating. Our visit made us want to learn more about his life.

Museum took a few minutes to fly through--had a few things in it that Puccini owned--could have skipped this attraction. Really enjoyed the Puccini concert at the church though!

Tucked away off a Piazza Cittadella where all the restaurants are named after Puccini's operas. The rooms in his birth house house a great number of original letters and manuscripts which take you back to times that we can relate to.

An interesting museum and very well organised. However, playing Mozart opera arias as background music in a Puccini museum is not the best of ideas.

Apart from visiting Lucca for the historic city and architecture its a must to visit the Puccini Museum to appreciate the man and his achievements delivering opera to all parts of the world. This a must. Lots of cafes and restaurants in the city.
