Beautiful duomo

Very old church. You need to park your car outside the city in order to walk and get to the duomo. Recommended

This was a lovely setting for an evening of wonderful music performed by very talented musicians. I would highly recommend taking advantage of the opportunity to hear Verdi's music performed in his hometown. Concerts are available every night.

We stopped here during a rainy tour. The exterior didn't look too exciting; but once inside, we were very impressed. It is quite lovely, especially the mosaics above the altar and the beautiful ceiling. There were many beautiful decorations and stained glass windows throughout. I was pleasantly surprised at how pretty it was inside.

It was ok, but a bit drab compared to other Cathederals in the Tuscany region.Quite a tower climb but there are a few others in the area Florence Senia and Pisa were better . Lucca is a quiet town , preserved nicely.

This is a significant attraction in Luca but if you are used to visiting cities and their churches I'd say skip this one. Sorry residents of Luca. I love your city but compared to Rome and Florence etc it isn't as awe inspiring and there is an entry cost.

We didn't climb the tower, as we had just climbed another--but the church is beautiful. We bought a combo ticket to also see San Giavanni Church with the Roman ruins underneath.

The Duomo is nice, very quiet in comparison to Pisa and Florence, the fee to get in was around €3 so not bad. In and out in 10 minutes

Beautiful Duomo, it reflects the beauty of many churches in Italy, but also the town itself is lovely. Walk up the tower for amazing views over the city for a complete experience. The town of Lucca itself is absolutely lovely and I definitely recommend a visit.

Worth the small entry fee to see this beautiful Church. You can also pay a small supplement, and go up in the tower.

Beautiful cathedral, with plenty of history and amazing architecture, with interesting stories of saints and goings on and how it was built, they also hold concerts in the square here in the summer months
