The work of the Polish sculptor, Igor Mitoraj, from 2012 showing the fallen angel is a fantastic addition to all the monumental structures you can see at the Campo dei Miracoli. It is a fine example how the contemporary art can complement the ancient one.

This monument is very interesting and beautiful. It is located in front of the ticket office, where you can buy tickets to visit the Tower of Pisa. There area others beautiful monuments next this one.

This is a sculpture by Igor Mitoraj, it depicts the torso of an angel with damage to the wings, arms and head, and is located on the lawn near the Leaning Tower.

I'm not sure if this is a modern art piece or an ancient relic. Either way, its stunning and is locate on the lawns right next to the leaning tower of pisa, so you wont miss it.

I find it to be an odd piece within the area of the leaning tower of Pisa. The sculpture/design is really intricate, a bit disturbing for me for some reason. We went there on a rainy day so we’re unable to explore it n details...More
