Time well Spent

The tower is great and a must see, but the Duomo and Battistero are the hidden gems. Take the time se both, it's worth it.

The entry to the Duomo of Pisa located in the Field of Miracles is the second free sight here other than seeing the leaning tower from outside. However for entry into the cathedral you have to queue up in the ticket office( where you buy tickets for the other attractions in the area) and get a zero value ticket anyway.The... More

One of the major domes in Tuscany, probably only rivalled by Florence and Siena. You can byu the ticket in package. But beware of African fake sellers circeling the entrances of this area. Parking there is difficult.

The entire piazza is quite beautiful. The building and grounds are well maintained. We did not have time to go into any of the buildings. There were a lot of people there are the time we were there but never felt crowded.

An architectural powerhouse dominating the Piazza, this is a must-see and is easily done considering it adjoins the Leaning Tower. Impressive and masterful in its own right.

We did not pay to go into any of the buildings, but walked the grounds of the leaning tower, Basilica and Baptistry. It was a lot of fun to take the obligatory tower pic and see such a famous site. We didn't partake, but the tower is letting people up again.

Wow, this place is incredible! The sheer scale is amazing! To be able to wander round such a monumental piece of architecture is breathtaking. This is nearly 1000 years old, and is a must-see for any visitor to Pisa. The entrance ticket is included with any tower entrance ticket. Simply brilliant!

The famous Pisa tower is part of the Duomo of Pisa. The tower does not have elevator. So please be in good shape to get at the top.
