Came here after the Square of Miracles to mostly escape the crowds of tourists on a sand beach that had manageable waves for swimming, affordable parking (4 to 8€ in most lots) and a good vibe. Just relax and get a tan!

This beach was the best we found on our visit to Tuscany. It’s known as a ‘wild’ beach and is mainly free. There is a reasonable car park (costs 6.50 for the day) with plenty of spaces (longest search for place was 5 mins) and...More

Big sandy beach, good parking, bar/cafe, both organised and free space. The weather wasn’t great when we went, overcast but warm, rather windy. Should suit everyone! Only downside is the constant round of sellers of tat, but you seem to get that everywhere now.

This has been our favorite for fifteen years. It's wild, sometimes there's some garbage washed up, but the shore is always changing and you can find a place to put up your umbrella, tent, lean-to or tipi and have a great beach day!

Good people around, nice views and clean beach. Not deep up a considerable distance. Good to head out there after a trip to Leaning Tower of Pisa

We live near Barga and fancied a trip to the beach but I didn't want to pay silly prices. Discovered this beach which was perfect. The sea was lovely and warm at the end of August, and the sand nice and soft. There are dunes...More

Our accommodation was in Pisa and we liked travelling to this beach, as it is beautiful and clean. It is about 4km long sandy beach. There is plenty of paid parking available, although it can be busy at times and you may need to wait...More

Really lovely beach, the lady managing the restaurant on the beach was just amazing. The negativ thing was that there was no WC, just a hole in the ground so no visit there from my side.

Plenty parking near the beach, and a choice of serviced or informal beach. Beach umbrellas can be bought for 20 Euros (we "borrowed" one for a few hours off the guy for 10Eu). There are regular cold drink and ice cream sellers patrolling the beach,...More

A lovely huge beach with only a small section separated for cabana hire, complete opposite to Viareggio up the road. Loads of parking but it quickly fills up. We arrived around 2pm on a scorching Sunday & only waited 10mins for a space, €6.50 for...More

There is a car park, I didn’t see any attendants but I do remember the ticket machine being tricky. It helped that I speak Italian and could understand the instructions, if you don’t you could have a problem!
