To get a nice view of Tuscany you should climb the stairs because when you get to the top the view that you see of the city the area and the towers its worth the effort.

It's a hike, but worth it! Beautiful panoramas. Amazing to us that we can still access such an historical site.

It's a hike to get to the tower but the payoff is worth the climb! A full 360 degree view that overlooks the village. Of the 72 towers that were once the village, only 13 remain in this romantic ancient history community. Truly step back in time and immerse yourself in the feelings of the time. Enjoy and appreciate the... More

Yes, suffer the stairs climb, long but with plenty of landings to catch your breath. The panoramic views at the top are well worth it.

I love this city and being able to come back to it was really special. In September this city is vibrant and bustling, a very different scene than our first visit in late October. The ancient buildings are incredible feats of architecture and you can wander around this city, being awed at every turn.

My friends and I were in the area and decided to climb the top of the tower to get a good view. On the sunny day we went, it was worth it, with extensive views of the town and the surrounding area. There are also some rooms to have a look round to see some history of the tower and... More

My wife and I visited the San Gimignano tower back in August. It was a little tough in some areas getting up, but once at the top, the view of San Gimignano and surrounding countryside was amazing! Can't wait to go back!
