This is a relatively new museum that provides a unique view into the life of the Campatelli family. While the building goes back to medieval times with its central tower, the restoration focuses on how this residence looked and was lived in during the 19th century. The building and much of the furniture, books, art,.. were donated by the last... More

As a non-Italian tourist the museum video gave so much information of the history of the region and town center, so that we could appreciate walking the town and farms lands even more. The view from the house was also gorgeous. You could really see the vastness of the wine country and olive grove hills. Worth the cost.

Casa Campatatelli gives you a very good overview of life in San Gim and sets up a visit to this town. We stayed in San Gim and did it on day 3. We'd suggest its one of the first things you do

An interesting and informative hour can be spent here. Not only do you have access to a lovely house full of interesting objects, but you get a commentary on the history of the whole town. We loved it!

I knew San Gimignano was a special place but being here was really an amazing experience which deserves proper time and relax to fully appreciate. The visit to Torre e Casa Campatelli has been for us the highlight of the trip. The audio-video tour was extremely interesting, informative and professionally done. Really highly recommended!

The videos, the audio and the stroll around the rooms made for a very interesting hour out of the heat of the day. Family photographs, possessions and furniture give the house a very personal and comfortable feel. Not many tourists had discovered the house, so it was not crowded. A more interactive presentation than the majority of museums.

If you have ever wondered what old houses in San Gigmignano were like to live in before they were converted into shops, restaurants and cafes, you must visit this place. It's an absolutely charming, well preserved house. The short videos give a brief history of the house and family that used to own it.

We visited this lovely family house on the back of the TripAdvisor comments and it was a great insight into the region, history and family life in Tuscany. The views from the back of the house are super. Highly recommended.
