Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Manuel was a great instructor. His passion for wine is evident and he made the class so fun! Also gave us an excellent dinner recommendation!

We’ve done a number of wine tastings over the years and this one stands out. Manuel did a wonderful job giving us background information and guiding us in our tasting of 6 wines. Would highly recommend this.

If you venture into Siena, I would highly recommend setting up a wine tasting and food tour through the Tuscan Wine School. Our host and guide, Elio, was very good, and provided us a good perspective of wines and olive oils throughout the Tuscan region. Learning about the local Contradas was also very interesting. To add, Siena was by far, one of the cleanest, if not the cleanest city we visited in Italy.

What a fun experience! Manuel was knowledgeable about Tuscan wines and managed to be very entertaining. We enjoyed it very much and would recommend. We bought some of the wines we liked, and keeping fingers crossed that they'll ship intact back home sometime next month!

The tour really help me appreciate some of the wines of Thea area. It was a good introduction to the Tuscany region and the different wines and different quality of wines that are offered. The tour also included a short tour around Siena and explained some really unique aspects of the different neighborhoods within the city. It was a really fun and enjoyable tour.

Highly recommend this tour!

We came down from Florence and scheduled the night before. Elio was ready for us and we took off on a one hour tour around Siena. It was great to learn about the neighborhoods and overall history! Once back for the wine and food portion we settled in for another hour of history about the region and wines we were trying.

Great information received for a two hour tour!

This was a great start for wine tasting tour around Siena. The class was fun and educational at the same time. I learnt about history of wines in general and specially in Tuscany area. We tasted several wines and olive oil accompanied by some savery snacks. I would recommend this especially if you are not so familiar with wines in the area. The staff were really nice and welcoming.

I'd like to thank you for creating a remarkable day for me in the rolling hills of Tuscany.
The half day tour I'd signed up for covered beautiful destinations like Chiusure Montepulciano and Pienza. It was fortuitous to have great weather..a wonderful driver and tour guide in Georgia! She's so friendly and knowledgeable. One was constantly learning from her about many things even as we drove along the countryside.
And the countryside is a piece of heaven on earth. I envy you all for that 😄.
I'll be back for sure and will count on Tuscan Escapes for more magical memories.
Grazie mille.. ciao!
Kind regards Vidur Kumar

We did the Brunello do Montalcino (small group tour) Wine Tasting Tour. It was wonderful! Mattia was so knowledgeable and fun and we learned so much. Three vineyards which were all so different. We enjoyed all three. It made for a very full day. Included was lunch at Cava d Onice which was wonderful. Each winemaker helped us learn and shared their passion with us. I’d do it again.

This tour was one of the highlights of our three-week trip to Italy! Guillermo was not only knowledgeable (encyclopedic) and engaging and fun, but he would also answer any question, even how he survived during the pandemic. He was passionate about history and winemaking and foreign travel. The tour was about nine hours and went like this: lovely drive thru Tuscan countryside, winery tour and tasting, stop at Montalcino, lunch at small winery and more wine tasting, stop at Benedictine monastery, final wine tasting at a larger winery, and more lovely countryside drive. For my husband and I, the best part was lunch at Cava D'Onice. It's a small winery run by a husband-and-wife team who produce fabulous wine. The wife prepared all the food, including homemade pasta. The husband told us about his family and how he got started in the winemaking business (Guillermo interpreted for us), and about his commitment to quality in everything he does. I would highly recommend this tour! You'll return home with wonderful memories, tons of wine-making knowledge, and if you're like us, a case or two of wine.
