If you're visiting the Duomo (which you will) then you should get a combined ticket and walk around to the bapistry. It small but round the corner and built underneath the cathedral. Well worth the extra little visit. Beautiful interior art.
The Battistero di San Giovanni is located under the cathedral. It is a separate entrance, outside the cathedral, in the back. Do not miss it! It is stunning! The artwork, the beautiful painted ceilings, and the incredible baptismal font are exquisite!
