Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A great place to browse for books, maps and other paper items handmade in Italy. The proprietor is very friendly and helpful and represents this company well. The covers for the journals are made in town just below the shop in an alley. It was fascinating to watch the marbled covers be created by hand.

I love bookstores, so was excited when I found this one hiding in plain sight in the Piazza del Comune. If you are searching for a good holiday read, you can find both English and Italian books on offer. Looking for a wee gift to take home? You have a rich array from which to choose - monogrammed stationary in various designs (I believe they were designed locally), childrens books on Saint Francis and other Italian classics, like Pinocchio, as well as full and 1/4 page vellium-esque prints of Canticle of the Creatures and Prayer for All (in many languages, with side detailing done locally, I believe). They also have beautiful blank books that could serve as anything from guest books, to photo albums to journals. They have lovely leather covers and marbled paper end page; so beautiful. The staff have been kind and helpful on each visit. Id recommend picking up your gifts, whatever your budget, here before heading anywhere else. Its just a great little shop!!

This was such a wonderful find for anyone that loves Italian paper and books. The owner was so kind and explained that the family had been producing artisanal journals and stationery for 5 generations right below the shop. Their workmanship is stunning the colors, gold gilding even little labels to personalize your limoncello bottles. It is worth a stop to see Italian craftsmanship at its best.

This was an excellent bookstore find for taking some souvenirs home, as well as picking up more detailed guides to the area. The shopkeeper was so pleasant and friendly and stocked great old books, new books and beautiful Florentine paper products, as well as other high-end library items. It's a quite small shop located just across from the Santa Maria Sopra Minerva church in the Roman Forum area of Assisi... Highly recommend popping in for a look!
