This road runs from the Basilica di San Francesco d'Assisi towards Piazza del Comune. It is lined with numerous shops and restaurants all situated within very old buildings. As you stroll this street, you can almost image, as it was in ancient times.

We were lucky enough to get a glimpse of Papa Francesco as he visited the town this morning. Following that we strolled & shopped along this road- lovely time

A very nice old street to walk after visiting the basilica . Shops ,restaurants ,galleries , all in old buildings . Go up to the main square.

I loved walking up and down this charming town: impressive, history, art and architecture make this town one of the best Italian towns to visit

This is a nice walk from St Clare's Basilica to St Francis' Basilica. Lots to see, plenty of shops and a feel for the real Assisi. We enjoyed it very much>

this street has everything from the normal tourist stuff to expensive art and religious articles. Lots of places to eat,drink and shop

Walking in Assisi is an adventure wherever you go; lots of walking up and down making it difficult for persons with mobility issues. If that is the case, the visitor can take a cab. Public transportation is available but limited. Via San Francesco has lots...More
