If you are here in Assisi to walk in Saint Francis' footsteps take the time to walk through the woods and experience the natural pull and feel of the area. It is inspirational and beautiful

Bosco di San Francesco, an enchanting place, very quit, out of time full of charm; L'atmosphere of the trees, the smell of the landscape and beautiful views: a nice tour to meditate and very restful.

It's a little-known fact that visitors to the Shrine of St. Francis can access the woods he and his companions roamed. Although it can be a physically demanding hike, it is a wonderful way to relax and process the experience of visiting Assisi.

the main walk leading to the Cathedral lasts 40 min one way, mainly in the shadow. The walk towards the "terzo paradiso" masterpiece lasts 20 min.
