The highlight (literally) of Gubbio

You can't visit this charming old town without going up in the world! For a few euros you get a sensational view and the bar at the top is excellent.

Great, good fun, amazing views, two to a cage or the guys don't mind you going single if not busy. Ever wondered what a parrot feels like, try this.

A sheer ride up the hill / mountain in a small cage that holds two people. Actually quite calm once you are on board. The views are brilliant. Gubbio is great but this was the highlight

Our group of 5 was in Gubbio for just a day to explore and we, of course, made it up to the Basilica of Saint Ubaldo. I highly recommend taking this funicular for the ride back down to town. We walked up to the Basilica, which allowed us to soak in the location. It also felt like walking up (steep... More

The cages move continually so you have to be fairly nimble to step on board, you also stand all the way. Great experience as you slowly move up the hillside you get fantastic views over the town and surrounding countryside. Once at the top there are a couple of places to buy snacks and a lovely church to visit. Highly... More

Great fun to do when you are in Gubbio. Magnificant view on Gubbio and on the Umbrian landscape both when going up and on the top.

It's a pretty fun thing to do and certainly a cooler way to get to the church on hill high above Gubbio. I think the funniest part was sitting watching other people boarding their cage!

Wandering around Gubbio we pretty much stumbled upon the Funivia. Our girls our 2 and 4 and loved the trip to the top and we loved the views - well worth the trip!
