Give yourself plenty of time to see Perugia, so much to see dating back over 2,000 years! The Rocca Paolina, the Basilica and, well art, culture all the stuff you'd expect of a major Italian city. Plenty of great restaurants and cafes too!

Perugia is an awesome city to see historic buildings, artwork and more. Shopping and sightseeing a must! Also enjoyed the city of Assisi even more; the streets are easier to walk, very quaint and beautiful town; be sure to visit! We also went to the Durano ceramic shop and saw artisans create their one-of-a kind artwork, plates, vases... In addition... More

The centre of the city is really fantastic and well worth the visit. The church is beautiful inside and the surrounding medieval area is a photographers dream.

I love visiting the historic centre of Perugia. It has a special magic. There is always something happening there - markets, festivals, exhibitions, concerts. I particularly enjoy the Umbria Jazz Festival in July. A wonderful atmosphere and great fun for all ages.

Amazing network of ancient streets and walkways with breath-taking architecture. Take your time to plan at least 2 days to see all of the old town.

We stayed about 25 minutes from Perugia so visited the town on numerous occasions but the Old Town just once. It combines old town charm and a vibrancy from the many restaurants and shops along the Corso Vannucci as well as an educational institution in one of the old buildings (Nobile Collegio del Cambio) At the end of the Corso... This is just a wonderful town to visit. It has just about everything you could want in a town. Interesting old streets and buildings to explore, the amazing Etruscan walls and the Rocca Paolina, restaurants where we had truly wonderful meals, elevators to take you up and down the high parts of town and the fascinating Mini Metro transport system....
