There is no way these gates - admittedly old and historic - are a top attraction in this town. You walk up and down hill all day and to climb just to see this is not satisfying.

Ancient arch in piazza grimana near university for foreigners. A must see here in Perugia. You can also see the exterior of the university for foreigners and walk up via garabaldi to Castel St ' Angelo

The Etruscs were in this region and this Arco represent a wonderful monument of her power; it's the entrance to the town and is stunning.

Arch pre-dating Roman habitation of this area. These people lived before the Roman republic, in fact their kings became the Roman kings, then got kick out(vive le republique!)
