We stopped here on our way to Interlaken and were mesmerized. Great place to rest and enjoy the beauty. There were people doing scuba diving and other water sports.

My fiancé and I had gone to Bern for the day, and on our return trip we stopped at Thun to wander around and to take the lake boat to Spiez. Despite the somewhat dreary and misty day, the views were gorgeous. The area is absolutely stunning. The cruise down the river took 50 minutes and was free with our... More

We were staying in Bern, and luckily I had already heard a little about Lake Thun. The tourist bureau in Bern doesn’t promote this excursion strongly. However, we think the boat trip on the lake is gorgeous and well worth a day excursion from Bern. We took the train from Bern, with each adult ticket costing 32 swiss francs return... More

Took the boat from Interlaken West and got off board at Thun. Views are spectacular. The staff were not very friendly though. We got to get on the first class free because of our Eurail pass

During a traditional walking and hiking week staying in Wengen, we took a couple of days out to cruise the local lakes of Thun and Brienz, both boarded at Interlaken, one west of the city and the other on the east side. The half price Swiss pass meant we paid about £39 each for a day rover ticket for both... More

Lake Thun is one of the most beautiful in Switzerland. You can travel either from Interlaken or from Thun town. Thun is equidistant from Zurich and Geneva by train. We took a boat trip in the lake from Interlaken. The one hour ride takes you amidst the beauty of the lake and it's beautiful shore. You find number of waterfalls... More
