The lake is very calm and sceneric (but a bit boring). With this spring it adds a lot of value for photo taking esp.selfie, beware of the water sprinkles when you are near to it!

the magnificent fountain is the icon of geneva and seen in many movies and TV as major world organisations like UNESCO, ILO, WHO, UNGA, etc surround Lake Geneva. the 140 + metre fountain is visible from all around the shores of Lake Geneve in Geneva...More

Living here, I can just say that this is the icon of Geneva. 140m high with 2 pumps consuming 1MWatt, illuminated at night. However, it's not on all the time, 9h-23h in summer, only during daytime in Winter and closed one month for maintenance in...More

It's a giant, aquatic jet that sprays water very, very high into the air. It's not a beautiful fountain. It's not a geyser. It's nothing that I found terribly impressive. It's an unimaginative attempt at a local "attraction".

You don't realize how good it looks until you go right next to it in boat :) doesn't work all the time, as depends on the wind and few other factors. Worth checking the timings and weather if you would like to see the "jet"...More

It is a must see in Geneva. You can reach it by going on a long molo, however, watch out if the wind changes direction. If it does so, just run, so you do not end up soaked for the rest of your trip :)

It is very nice to see. It is not always working so be ready to catch it when is working. Try to get a nice position to look at it. We try to catch a boat cruising the lake to see it closer but since...More

Ok, water reaches a high point, but apart from decorating photos, I can't find many more reasons to even consider it an attraction.

Geneva would not be Geneva without the Jet d'Eau. This evident as the jet is shut down for maintenance from October 26th for a few weeks and the city just isn't the same. Fabulous tourist feature day and night. Amazing how you are allowed to...More

Makes the Lake come to life. Best seen by the yellow taxiboats. Most hotels give free Geneva transport tickets for buses. trams and taxiboats. Not always on if its windy.

Yes, only closed in high wind to avoid spray drift. 💨💦
