I mean, yes, it's like a giant geyser, but very fun to see from different parts of the city. As you get closer you realize how massive it is. I didn't think it would be nearly this cool, but take the time to approach it and see it up close if you can.

Although I visit Geneva frequently, I am always fascinated by this very cosmopolitan city with its' lake and the numerous shops and restaurants. My most recent trip was in June to see a group called One Direction at the Arena. A thouroughly enjoyable day with friends and an excellent way to finish the day, with great music

If you head down to Lake Geneva it's unlikely you will miss seeing this. It's one of Geneva's most famous landmarks. It's an impressive sight and its quite interesting to photograph at different times of the day to catch the light (and if you are lucky a rainbow).

OK, so it's just a giant hose pointing upwards. But when you get close and realise just how powerful it is you can't fail to be impressed. Two giant pumps with a combined power of 1 megawatt are firing half a tonne of water per second to a height of 140 metres. There is a narrow jetty that allows you... More

A must see in Geneve. We have a great time to see the jet d'eau in every angle. The transportation of boat in the lake is usually free with your hotel stay.

Impressive fountain of water in Lake Geneva near the centre of town. Also visible from a distance. Lots of promenade walks around the lake from here with the Jet D'eau visible all the time. A striking central feature of Geneva. The Lake and well-looked after parks and promenades are worth the effort of the visit not the fountain.

Fabulous iconic landmark from any angle. It never seems to stop. People can walk up to it from the other side of the lake along a narrow wet walkway.

Besides the spectacle of the water gushing out into the skies, the statistics are mind boggling with the volume of water being pushed through the system

This is THE icon of lake Geneva. Geneva is a small city anyway, so you can't get lost, but you can always orient yourself with Jet d"Eau. But we also had some fun taking interesting pictures with this water features. There are sculptures around the lake and you can be creative. Another fun thing is to line your unsuspecting friend...
