OK so my girlfriend isn't too bothered by archaeology. Bad news for her is that I am! And I loved this place. The site is surprisingly large, with the remains of no fewer than three cathedrals to view. When I visited the main entrance to the museum was closed and access was via the north side of the cathedral.

It is a good place to visit if you are interested in archaeology. It is just situated near the cathedral which gives you insight about the development of the entire city.

I didn't know that there was a site under the cathedral until I stumbled at it by coincidence. Good display and an interesting story of the city. With a visit.

This site is well done and quite extensive.... larger than it looks upon first entry. It provided a good history of the development of Geneva. Would recommend for those interested in history and/or archeology.

One of the best archeology sites I've ever visited. Very well done and managed if you enjoy the history of the very early church. A little disappointed that the tour costs 8 Euros, but nicely done.

We arrived there late in the day so were went round a little quicker than advised and without the audio guide. However, it was still an enjoyable visit. I love the way it was laid out and the signage was adequate without the audio. I liked the colour coded tags showing the age of each section of wall however that... More

The cathedral was majestic, but there are some maintenance work on-going when I visited. As I was there early in the morning, I did not hear any noise due to the maintenance. However, what I found intriguing was the archaeological site available to public. The site is directly under the museum and is definitely the highlight of my trip. It... More

This is a great place to see the ruins of at least four cathedrals. The presentation does a good job of including English explanations of items on display. There is also an English audio guide.

Our 15-year-old loved the underground ruins. The wite has been a religipous site since early Christianity.
