Geneva without its lake and its famous, approx. 140 m high fountain supplied with water from the lake, which can be seen from both sides of the lake and also from quite some distance. It is lit in the evening and is an enchanting experience. Weather permitting, you can see the snow covered chain of maintains, including the Mont Blanc... More

Walked around lake and took advantage of free boat rides. Four different rides, well worth taking. Take a walk around both sides of the lake and explire the area.

An overnight stay in this lovely city is just not long enough. We had a lovely walk along the lake side admiring the snow capped mountains. It is a nice city to walk around and has a very good atmosphere. There is plenty of places to eat and drink. Some are quite expensive so do your homework before you go.... More

It's a large lake. In the middle of Geneva. Water is crystal clear. Also very cold in the winter. You see some avian life in the lake but strangely no fishing boats. Great place to walk around and have a picnic in the summertime in the shade of the big trees on the side of the water.

This is where the activities are. The lake is close to public transportation and other attractions. A must see if you are visiting Geneva.

I live just across the border, in France. Whenever I have to drive into the Canton of Geneva, I make sure I pass by Bellevue, which, as you leave the village, in the direction of Lausanne, has the most magnificent view of Lake Geneva (French: Lac Léman). Continuing for a few hundred yards on this road, route de Suisse, for... More

This is the best part in this city, where people are focussed on business. Apparently no one owns Geneva and possibly not even Swiss. If you are around, do visit the lake, enjoy good meal at one of those restaurant s. Just be cautious that there are many pick pockets in this area and be careful for your belongings.

Lake Geneva is a huge expanse of water and when you have the alps behind it (great view from montreux) it really is a spectacle to behold. Stunning!

The lake is under the jurisdiction of two countries : France and Switzerland. You can make yachting, swimming and other nauthical sports.
