    Worth a visit
We visited the Park de Nations and combined this , the United Nations building, the Red Cross museum and the Ceramic museum all in one go . Don’t forget tourists get free travel in Geneva so we caught the no 8 bus . The monument is very significant and thought provoking and worth a look.

    Huge broken wooden sexy chair
First it is an amazing chair, that definitely worths at least 5-10 minutes to be spend there. I could not sit on it, because obviously it's broken. The symbolic is something that gives a great motivation. It is one of the Geneva's land marks that is a must.

    Can see it passing by
You can see this sculpture passing by in a bus or car or by actually getting off. The station near it is ‘Nation’. There’s wording on floor that gives history of the chair. You can also see the United Nations opposite. It is in a square and usually people are protesting against something.

    Unique Sculpture
I have never before seen anything quite like this sculpture. Broken Chair is specifically devoted to ending the use of land mines and wars waged against innocent civilians. Take the time to read the plaque there on the ground. In several languages, it gives a succinct history of the sculpture and its importance in the anti-violence movement.

I love art installations so deliberately went to see the Broken Chair.
The broken chair is designed by Swiss artist Daniel Berset.
The chair is made of 5.5 tonnes of wood and 12 metres high.
Opposite the chair, you will see the Palace of Nations.

We were checking out the UN building, and this sculpture is located in the plaza right across the street. It is an impressively large chair, and has symbolism regarding land mines and war. That said, it's just a big sculpture, so I don't know how much of a destination it is, but we were happy to have seen it.

I wouldn’t take a photo or selfie standing in front of this Solemn piece or art dedicated to reminding diplomats visiting the UN of the significance of land mines and cluster bombs. When you realize why it was made, it should be considered in reverence to those that died or were maimed by such. I found it humbling; on the back side, through the back of the chair, you could read the words “United Nations” on the building across the way. Worth a look.

This huge 'Broken Chair' sculpture, an artwork made of wood, stands on only three legs is a symbol the campaign against landmines. It is designed by Swiss artist Daniel Berset and constructed by carpenter Louis Geneve.

It is constructed of 5.5 tons of wood and is 12 m high. It is situated across the street from the Palace of Nations, the UN building.

This is our revisit here and we still enjoy it's design and view!

The sculpture was bigger than I expected. Take time to read the information around the art. And if the day is hot, get some relief by walking around the dancing water jets. A great place to visit with kids!

Quite impressive to see up close. Interesting concept to highlight such a serious subject. Ultimately very well done and a quality to it. Obviously a popular tourist phot stop. Nice little area with the water fountains display and obviously popular with families and kids in the warm weather. Across the road you can see the flags of the United Nations.
