Although not on the grand scale of some of Europe’s cathedrals, this church more than makes up for that with its rich embellishments and it’s baroque decor. I loved our visit to this historic church.

My wife and I wandered in for a quick look and stayed probably 30 minutes or more. Recommended if you are into baroque architecture.

Upon opening the huge, plain old worn timber doors, a beautiful ornate church awaited adoration. This was a surprise find but a welcomed one.

While talking a walking tour we stopped at the onion dome. It was not impressive looking from the outside but was very beautiful inside.

Well worth the stop to see this lovely interior. Different than so many dark, gothic-like structures. Right at the river, easy to stop in while strolling through town.
