I wandered into the Jesuitenkirche at dusk, just as they were turning off the lights I found out a couple minutes later. It was just me and a little old lady praying. So it was extraordinarily quiet, and with a few Christmas decorations still up, very beautiful. As I took a few pictures the caretaker came out and started turning... More

To northern protestants like me I think the interiors of places like this utterly hideous but in terms of a completely over the top painted floor to ceiling and dripping in gold, icons, pictures, statues and candles- its a must see!

This is a Beautiful old church by the side of the lake. Closed this year for renovations by have visited it in previous years and it is well worth it. Also hold concerts as well as Catholic mass.

We and several others walked up to the door and tried with no success to enter - really disappointed... Not sure what the timeline is for this church's renovations to be completed..it's free when you can enter..

Looks like it will be closed for renovation rest of 2016 which is a great shame as it is a beautiful church. Quite a lot of baroque bling going on but manages to look beautiful rather than ott. Went to mass here last year and at the end of mass the organist performed what in effect was a mini recital... More

Unfortunately it is difficult to find information in English about the fact that this church is closed during 2016 for some major renovations. You are now warned: don't put it on your itinerary. However, the Franciscan church located just around the corner is wort a visit instead; in fact, it is much older than the Jesuit church and interesting in... More

The church was under renovation so we were not able to see it as it probably deserves, however what we did see clearly warrants coming back when where are in Luzern again.

very historic, gorgeous church, if you are catholic, you will love going here ... we took a taxi here and the taxi driver kept referring to it as the Jewish Church, so we had some laughs at that, but we enjoyed it just the same ... traveling on a hot day, it is cool and quiet inside and i understand... I love visiting this church, right at the foot of the Chapel Bridge in Lucerne. It's so light and beautiful, ornate without being over the top. When we visited in June 2016, we were unable to go inside this time due to construction going on. If you're in Lucerne, take the time to pop inside and have a look. You... More

One of the most ordanary from the inside , but as with us , it is what is inside that matters. Once you have walked through the old town , this is a perfect place to stop and catch your breath in the righ place
