The most beautiful part of Lucerne. The narrow cobblestone streets lead you to beautiful squares surrounded by historic buildings. Spend a couple of hours getting lost here.

The old town Lucerne is very pretty with murals and decorated buildings. The streets are closed to traffic so it's easy for pedestrians to walk around. Of course, there are lots of shops for the tourists. Have gelato along the lake not in old town.

It was a beautiful area with nice buildings. I think 1 to 2 hours would be enough for walking around and enjoy the atmosphere. There are alot of restaurants and shops for exploring.

It seems that each shop sells cuckoo clocks, watches, or chocolate, and that's about it. Very walkable but didn't occupy my attention for very long.

I haven't visited bern... but Lucerne is good laid back place with lots of places surrounding it to visit and also can enjoy nightlife in Lucern
