It was a picturesque walk under the covered bridge with great views around. Inside there are paintings up in the rafters which depict various events in history of Lucerne. Sadly there was a fire there un more recent history that destroyed many of these but...More

Yes it was built in the 14th centrifugal, yes it was destroyed in a fire in 1993 and yes the paintings are from the 17th century, but other than the fact that it is just a wooden bridge covered with flowers and decorated with paintings,...More

We wanted to see this but hadn’t figured out how to fit it into an already packed schedule. Fortunately, we stumbled across it while shopping while waiting for our bus. Interesting, brief site to visit. Lots of cools shopping options close by.

It’s truly historical, amazing. A walk on the bridge can take you hours, as every 2 metres, there is a painting in either side. A depiction of history of what evolved the bridge, how the society was, and what kind of culture existed. The tower...More

A must cross bridge at the city center on your way to a line of great restaurants alongside the lake Luzern. The fresh flowers and old drawings on the ceilings are out of this world. I believe we took about 50 photos!!!

I love the flower boxes all along the bridge giving beautiful decoration. Those pictures are fading and soon they need to take down to replace it. I guess it was a way to remind people how to behave in those old days...

A must see bridge in Lucern. Flowers along the bridge, the paintings overhead and the Water Tower makes this an unforgettable sight even with loads of tourists abound.

The chapel bridge is a one of the oldest bridge in Europe. The bridge straddles the Reuss river. The far bank has many cafes and shops. The architectures are really fascinating.
