This bridge is one of the most photographed spots in Switzerland because it is so iconic and has a great view of old town and the river. As you walk across it you will see the painted panels. Many are missing since there was a fire in 1991 that destroyed much of it. But it's a very important site in... More

I recently visited Lucerne and walked past and on the bridge many times. In my opinion, seeing the worlds oldest covered wooden bridge is a must while you are in Lucerne! It is located in the town center so it is easy to get to and wonderfully photogenic. You can walk across the bridge for no cost, and if you... More

You'll take amazing pictures for you and your family in this place . Enjoy having your coffee in the cafes next to the bridge. Enjoy walking in it but make sure that you go there early to not be stuck and not be able to take good pictures when the place is crowded.

This bridge got almost burned to bits back in 1993, allegedly by someone who carelessly threw away a cigarette-end that got lodged between the centuries old wooden flooring. Others say it was simply an insurance scam, and the conspiracy theorists add that on the night of the fire there were sightings of people in fire-protective suits making off with some... More

Definitely a picture worthy site to see. There are numerous paintings inside the bridge that are interesting and wonderfully done. Worth the trip to see it and sat you have been on the oldest bridge in Europe.

Is amazing to walk on this very old historic bridge that looks over lake Lucerne. My husband and I walked our dog across both bridges there is charge to go across and you can view the great paintings of the local history. A walking tour for hire is also and option.

This iconic chappel bridge was built in between of two streets in Luzern. There were many white swans roaming the lake. They were so beatiful! At the sidewalks you can find restaurants or coffe shops, as well as ordering delicious italian ice cream.

The bridge was originally built in 1333 and provides a good view of the buildings of birth banks of the Reuss River. When we were there, 108 Star Wars storm trooper replicas were standing in rows near the entrance.
