Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

On a cold, rainy day at the Rhine falls, I forced my husband to go to Schloessli Worth. Yes, it would be expensive, and yes, the food is likely not the best, because you are paying for the view. I don’t care - let’s go.

Lucky for me, not only was the view as good as I hoped, and the building historic and interesting, the food was excellent!

We had two different soups, both of which were both unusual and delicious - pumpkin cream and a reisling soup, which had a really interesting and delicate flavor. We each had a starter for our main. I tried two different local region wines and they were a wonderful surprise - I had no idea what the wines of the region were like.

While I can imagine that the experience here is negatively impacted at the height of tourist season, I did really enjoy it.

Great place to stop by and enjoy the view of Rhine falls. Not too crowded during this time and there's great photo opportunities.

we had the most gorgeous meal at this place. Sitting right at the window with the best view towards the waterfall was a real bonus.
The service was excellent and we found the prices very reasonable for what one gets. A must, I would recommend is, after the meal
to go to the terrace and take some pictures.

This is a small little house with a restaurant in and some expensive souvenir shops. Other than that there is nothing there.

It is a small castle built over water just next to Rhine waterfall. There is small bridge which connects it. You'll get the very good views of waterfall from this place. Also there are boat rides which starts from this place.

Besides the Rhinefalls, attractions in the area include the Schloss Laufen across the other bank of the rhine and the water castle called Schloss Worth, which is connected to the Rheinfall Quai by a concrete bridge.

The Schloss Worth (water castle) was built in 1348 AD as a customs house for ships travelling to the rhinefall area but since the railroad opened along the Laufen Side, The castle was not used anymore and was then converted into a fine dining restaurant (Schloss Worth Restaurant, Snack Fastfood Counter)t with a fast food counter as well and several souvenir shops as well as being the docking area of the different boat stations of the Rhine Fall Cruises who do the rhine fall tours.

This is where the boat trips depart from and you get a decent view of the falls regardless of whether you take a trip. Trips aren't expensive and go right up to the falls, to the mid falls island or down river depending on which you chose. The other side of the river (Laufen) has good observation platforms/vantage points which you don't have here - it's 2cf/e to cross by boat or you can walk across the rail/pedestrain bridge for free. If you have the time then personally I'd recommend you visit both sides but whatever you do, food/snacks/drinks are exhorbitant so bring a picnic and drinks is my advice.

Lovely setting in the restaurant, but the meat we had was hard and dry. In spite of the very friendly service, the food was a deception and too highly priced for the quality. The shrimp / avocado salad had a simple pink mayonnaise cocktail dressing. Those of us with the fish menu had a very average side dish (mashed potatoes), although the fish was tasty.

Use it for access to boat rides and washrooms, I guess that's about it, you will anyway see this if you go to Rheinfalls, I don't think it qualifies to stand out as an attraction on its own.

It may not be Niagara Falls, but it is a great place to take the family or just for a walk. At night the lights are beautiful.
