Such an impressive looking peak

Can be seen from anywhere in Grindelwald - dominating and beautiful and worth viewing from all different angles - really changes.

We were well looked after and gluten free was no problem and they had some gluten free bread for me. The food was excellent.

Good Swiss food. Not spectacular but good. Portions are just right. Daily specials - usually a good choice. Great wine list!

There are many walks to and from the Wetterhorn which, despite being less well known than the Eiger, is higher. One of the best is from Pfingstegg in Grindelwald around the face of the Mattenberg. We were at the top of the First Gondola having a cocktail and saw an avalanche on the Wetterhorn. Locals didn't seem all that impressed. they said that they occur all the time in the fall before the major winter snows come.

The Wetterhorn is the host mountain of Grindelwald and although not as famous as the Eiger it is very very majestic and beautiful!

Amazing, you must make it a part of your itinerary if you are traveling to Switzerland. There are many trails around the area good for individuals and families.
