Timed our run to finish around 12,00pm and dropped in for lunch. Enjoyed soup and a plate of cold meats and cheeses - excellent service and food at reasonable price and happy to let us stay at the table until our bus departed.

Visiting Grindelwald, one could think it was all about the Eiger, but the streetscape backdrop is instead of this stunning mountain

Wife and I took a drive up to the Wetterhorn and enjoyed a cooling drink in the warm sun with gorgeous view over the mountain

Can be seen from anywhere in Grindelwald - dominating and beautiful and worth viewing from all different angles - really changes.

We were well looked after and gluten free was no problem and they had some gluten free bread for me. The food was excellent.

Good Swiss food. Not spectacular but good. Portions are just right. Daily specials - usually a good choice. Great wine list!

There are many walks to and from the Wetterhorn which, despite being less well known than the Eiger, is higher. One of the best is from Pfingstegg in Grindelwald around the face of the Mattenberg. The buses run up to here from Grindelwald and go...More

Though less well known than its neighbour, the notorious Eiger, I find the Wetterhorn is a much more beautiful site. It's north wall, though not as high, appears steeper and that the broken skyline lets the sun stroke it's face, allows one a better view....More
