I had an incredible experience with Nik (Nikolas Vasileiou) as my ski instructor at Altitude Ski School. After two days of private lessons (3 hours each day), I made amazing progress and gained much more confidence. He was an excellent teacher, both fun and instructive. His explanations were very clear and easy to follow. He guided me perfectly step by step, allowing me to progress quickly, as I gradually gained confidence and technique thanks to his great explanations and personalized practical exercises. I always felt very safe and calm thanks to his great competences, patience, kindness and cheerful guidance. The experience was well worth it. I highly recommend both Altitude Ski School and lessons with Nik. Thank you so much :)

It is difficult to put into words how much I wish to offer my thanks to Altitude Wengen and Nico ( Instructor) in particular for their amazing snowboarding coaching for my 8 year old on our recent trip to the Jungfrau region. All queries answered in advance by the office team - great communication from the team in Switzerland and then amazing coaching on the mountain. The team honoured their promise not to cancel lessons owing to small group size. Nico was absolutely brilliant with our child. He looked after her, kept her safe, kept us updated, communicated really well and gave her a love of snowboarding. I would not hesitate to recommend this company to anyone thinking of learning how to ski or snowboard.

My son just enjoyed a fantastic set of lessons with Altitude. They were extremely helpful throughout the booking process, and the lessons themselves were both fun and challenging. My son started nervously, but finished with a massive grin on his face wanting to do more. Many thanks to Ben and the whole team, couldn’t recommend more highly.

I am 65 and had lost confidence in my skiing after a break of 5 years. Also not had lessons for years. Anyway, I am very happy to say, being taught by Greg for 3 mornings was a brilliant experience. He is such a great teacher and gave individual tips for achieving improvements in ski technique. Also he is a good psychologist and knows how to motivate you and encourage you to enjoy the sport.
I would highly recommend a lesson with Greg. By the way he’s also a very nice, interesting guy.

First time skiing at 56! Very nervous but Ben Patrick was a fabulous instructor. Calmed me down and super encouraging. Even guided me down a red route on the 4th lesson. Only 2 in the group with a maximum of 6. Highly recommended.

Avoid at all costs!! I signed up for private lessons as a complete beginner for a week in December 2022. On my first day, the instructor Ryan Wilding took me from the beginner bunny slopes to a red slope, with absolutely no explanation of what to expect. I had just barely learnt how to turn on my first day skiing ever. When paying for a private instructor, I trusted his judgement.
As a result, I was not equipped to handle such a challenging run and lost control. I fell and severely dislocated my elbow, suffered an arm fracture and a torn ligament. I was airlifted by helicopter to the nearest hospital in Interlaken.
Ryan Wilding is incompetent and completely unfit to be a ski instructor as he has zero regard for student's safety. The school's manger Ben Patrick offered nothing by way of a refund for the lessons missed due to injury. He had a very casual attitude towards the incident.
This entire experience has left me in serious pain wearing a cast, along with several thousands in medical bills. I urge anyone looking to ski to book elsewhere where your safety will be prioritized.

I had 9 hours of private lessons with Sorcha at the Altitude Ski and Snowboard School in Grindelwald and I had the most incredible experience. I started as a complete beginner and not only can I now ski, but Sorcha made sure to make me feel confident and very safe at every moment. I am so grateful for such a patient and skilled ski instructor and would recommend her to anyone.

William was amazing with our two daughters of 7 and 5. He is so caring, patient and an excellent instructor. Thank you so much for helping them to build up their confidence and enjoyment of skiing ☺️ We will definitely use Altitude Ski school when we next visit Wengen.

Skiing the Alps and the many slopes, trams, and chairlifts to choose from in Grindelwald is a wonderful experience. We had perfect visibility and we could see for 15 miles. The slopes are long and challenging. They do have some bunny slopes and instructors, however, I recommend that you be an intermediate to expert to fully enjoy and appreciate these slopes. Lunch and the view from the top are certainly worth the price of admission.

This is my second year of using Altitude ski school for my snowboard lessons and all I can say is unbelievable. I had two 2 hours lessons last year never done it before this year had three 2 hours lessons and can now link turns on my tie and heel edges and stop safely on a red run this is all done to one person Jo my instructor. I asked for Jo again this year because she is a great coach very patient alot of fun but mainly she gives u great confidence very important when learning a new sport. Jo explains things very clearly and keeps u motivated I would highly recommend Altitude and especially Jo as your instructor for snowboarding or skiing thanks again Jo for being so patient while I was learning to link my turns I achieved what I wanted to achieve which was this so happy although I wont be back next year will definitely be back the year after and will ask for Jo to progress further good luck with the channel swim hope it all goes ok.
