I arrived at Grindelwald 5th January, and webcams showed little but grass only days before; but what a difference a few days of fresh stuff can make. Kleine Scheidegg is easily reached by rail from Grindelwald via Grund and the train rides are part of...More

Worth staying the night here to get the early train up the Jungfraujoch the next day. A cute area to stay

You need to change the train line here to get to Jungfraujoch. Spending some time to see things around is time well spent, its a scenic place and you will have great views of the Alps from here.

Be very careful buying your ski passes on line. we were given terrible advise ahead of our trip to the region in Feb17. They effectively sold us £75 worth of additional ski pass for a family of four that we didn't need for our 4...More

... that's what Kleine Scheidegg is. From here one can go down to Wengen or Grindelwald and the offer of different slopes is amazing. And in right in the middle of that you have a full functioning and busy real (mountain) Swiss Railway train station.

This is the station where you board the train to Jungfraujoch, a picturesque spot with good views of the surrounding area.

Yes it gets busy in peak periods but if you go outside school holidays it's better. Restaurants are busy but efficient. Once skiers are dispersed the slopes get better. Some great runs down to Grind Grindelwald and Wengen.

This is a nice place if you are looking for skiing. This is also the place where you change train to go to Jungfraujoch. There are nice shops which serve coffee and beer

We didn't ski as snow levels were very low in Dec 16. But this is a nice area to visit. Some good shops, friendly people and awesome views of the Jungfrau, Jungfraujoch, Eiger and more. It is worth the stop.

Hi there may not be snow there in July but your daughter will be ok. You can always email the tourist information office in Interlaken if you have any concerns. Hope this helps.
