This journey was such a treat, the weather cooperated so that we saw amazing mountain vistas, loved it. Only disappointment was the attitude of staff which was less friendly & helpful than we expected.

We took the Glacier Express from St Moritz to Zermatt. It was February so snow everywhere. You must reserve a seat. We chose to travel in the panorama carriage. It cost a bit more but to view the towering mountains through the roof was a...More

We boarded the train at Chur and travelled all the way to Zermatt. We booked in advance, probably as early as we could to make sure we both had a window seat. We also booked the 3 course lunch, which consisted of soup, pork and...More

The Glacier Express goes once a day in Winter, and costs £19 just for the reservation, never mind the ticket. There are plenty of other trains that use the same route, and give you a choice of times. The only real difference is that the...More

Took this train from Brig...spectacular scenery throughout with snow covered mountains, deep ravines and forests. Train was very comfortable and staff very friendly. Not a lot of room for luggage but plently of leg room in seats.
