Take a beautiful stroll along the gorge, we walked as far as we could and were able to take some amazing pictures with the Matterhorn in the background. I saw so many people just taking pictures from the main bridge and it was such a...More

Beautiful gorge to walk around. Though, if you are scared of heights some of the platforms you might have troubles with. Wish there was more information on how/when the gorge was formed.

This was a nice hike from town. I do NOT recommend taking small children, the stairs are very steep and the ground uneven. There are blue pools there which are amazingly turquoise.

On the south end of Zermatt is this hidden gem of a hike through the gorge.. highly worth it! Only slightly physically exerting compared to many of the available hikes around Zermatt. The views are unique! Recommend it. 5 francs.

It's a tough slog getting up to it, but worth every step once you're down inside. We've never been this close to an active river still grinding an ever-deepening gorge like this. There are 170 or so stair steps leading down, through and back up...More

Cost 5 francs for adults and so worth at least walking to the end and back. Gorgeous water falls and movement of waters from above. Great locations to take some breathtaking pics. Takes about 30 minutes each way at a snails pace 45 from stopping...More

A place of natural beauty. A steepish walk to get to the opening and lots of steps once you’re there. But a very pretty walk in a very beautiful town makes it worthwhile.
