Prato Borni Ski School stands for tradition and quality. The name Prato Borni itself is the ancient latin name of Zermatt. Founded by local ski instructors and mountain guides who belong to the history of Zermatt, this exclusive ski school is well known for providing high level guidance and instruction for discerning clients who aspire to improve their technique and style. We offer private lessons for adults and children with pick-up service from the hotel in the morning. Each lesson is tailor-made and unique. Our priority is tapping into the desires of our high profile clientele as to bring a lasting smile on their face. As the ski equipment and techniques evolve, we must also adapt to better anticipate and exceed expectations. Our success has relied in large part upon our understanding of our guests, many of whom equally enjoy gourmet-skiing, as Zermatt is the well-known gourmet stronghold in the Alps. Our qualified ski instructors will show you the impressive ski area connected to Cervinia-Valtournenche (Italy) by choosing the best slopes and the finest restaurants where to enjoy culinary lunches. We can help you to enhance your technique and refine your style with a wide range of exercises and tricks. On request we'll give you tips on how to tackle bumps, yellow slopes or master the champagne-powder snow.

Our party of 4 from Boston had never skied Zermatt before. Our guide Andy Bossenmayer was incredibly professional and knowledgeable. Andy was also very attentive and made sure that he stopped at visible and safe locations so that we all stayed together. We learned a lot about Zermatt and Switzerland from Andy . We never would have covered as much terrain without him. Andy had been skiing at Zermatt over 40 years so not only did he know the vast resort by the back of his hand, but he knew the best restaurants on mountain as well several owners and managers. As a result , we always had a nice table and good service at every restaurant we went and the food was incredible. We could not have asked for a better ski guide experience. I give Prato Borni and Andy Bossenmayer an A plus.

We were assigned Alex for our week in Zermatt and I could not recommend either him or Prato Borni any more highly. Alex soon became a friend not just an instructor and made the whole holiday so much more special. His patience and reassurance was just unmatched and by the end of the trip I was a completely different skier and it's all down to him.
I did contact other ski schools who were busy and rushed but Prato Borni was professional accommodating and just so easy to deal with all round. Guys if you are looking for a ski school in Zermatt have no hesitation and if you are lucky enough to get Alex you have won the lottery!

I had great instructors Freddy and Miguel for a week. We were a group of friends and we had the best experience and have massively improved my skiing skills. I will highly recommend this ski school.

We were fortunate to have Alex Ferro as our instructor for 4 days. Alex is observant and technically sound. I have had ski instructors before but Alex gave me specific instructions and tips that helped improve my technic and confidence on the slopes.
It helps that Alex is patient, has a ready smile, and has a fun personality to boot. I would highly recommend Alex as an instructor. He is equally encouraging and engaging with children. An instructor for all ages!
Shout out to Arnaud Lehner and Valts Rutkis who were also instructors for our friends and their children.

We had 3 great days skiing with Natalie in Zermat. Natalie is very patient with me and my daughter who’s completely beginner. And my husband and son also had fun with her in the red and little bit of black slopes. Proto Borni office also very helpful in terms in choosing hours. Thanks again and hope to see you soon ⛷️

We had an amazing weekend in Zermatt thanks to the three instructors that followed us throughout our stay. They were able to bring us from scratch to a very nice level on blue slopes, and from intermediate level to carving. Also the receptionist was super accommodating and very welcoming. We can only suggest it!

I had never skied before and therefore booked 3 days of lessons with Miguel from Prato Borni while in Zermatt. He is a fantastic ski teacher! From the first day at the carpets at the Wolli park at Sunnega to the top of Rothorn on my third and last day. It was amazing! I never thought I would be able to do that, but Miguel gave me the right training, confidence and he always made me feel safe while on the slopes. A big thank you to Miguel and Prato Borni for making my first skiing experience a fantastic one!

I want to say that our 121 guide was fantastic. He is a great teacher, has a brilliant attitude, was a delight to be with, and helped my daughter (and me) to have a fantastic time. A genuinely nice man.
