Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I love gardens and outdoor play areas so I sought out this location before we even hopped the pond to CH. So Sweet. There is a marvelous garden story poem artistically expressed in this small amphitheater next to the children's play area. Just a short walk in the old city near the Hotel Mirabeau.

Lovely little botanical garden. Free to visit. Lots of interpretation, including some interesting information about the history of house plants. Spent an enjoyable hour there.

Lots of mature trees and steep paths, within easy reach of both Grancy and Delices metro stations, but the gardens feel tired and unenthusiastic ally maintained. Probably now over-mature but nice views of the city areas from up on high and a "lung" for the city. Other Botanic Gardens in other countries / cities offer so much more

When I was here with two friends, it was damp and drizzly. The food for lunch was good, the wine complemented the soup, salad, sandwiches. The price was reasonable, even for Switzerland.

With a tiny museum and educational facility in its centre, this oasis offers a beautiful place to stop and enjoy the plants.

The fine weather made our time here very enjoyable. The urban plant exhibition was interesting, and the view from the top was memorable.

Small but interesting botanical garden with plants divided into sections - ponds with waterlilies, medicinal, alpine, rock garden, etc. and beautiful trees. There is a stunning Japanese white magnolia near the main entrance that blooms in May (short-lived flowers). Climb up to the top past the larches to the gate onto the summit of the hill for good views over the lake and the rooftops of "sous-gare" (below the station) part of Lausanne.

The exhibition about grains was interesting, but the garden in itself is messy and not very well maintained. Many plants were burnt and dry. The fact that the gardens are on a sharp slope, with narrow alleys, doesn't help feeling good.

Found the botannical gardens and enjoyed a through walk - charmed by the ascending pathways full of flora and fauna and then at the top, amazing views of Lausanne and Lac Leman... loved the freshness and beauty of it all!

If you go from port to center or vice versa it is the perfect stop on the way. Many interesting plants, scents of spring and summer. A nice observation deck leading to winding paths among large and old trees.
