Beautiful picturesque place with views of the mountains. Would love to come and visit in the summer when the outdoor pools are open where the beach is. Nice little cafes and a park for the children.

Nice spot to walk by the Léman Lake, take picture, do some sport or only sunbathing eating a ice cream. It is a border as you can take a ferry to France (around 30mns boat)

Le Port d'Ouchy has a great park for the kiddos as well as a large selection of street vendors selling food and drinks. There are plenty of areas to sit, people watch and enjoy a relatively affordable lunch.

When traveling to Lausanne I always work my way down to the lake for a stroll after getting settled at the hotel. The views and people watching are a great way to combat jet lag.

Is it advisable to visit during winter? How do I get there using public transportation? I will be from Aigle.

It would be so cold there in winter everything would be covered in snow.but if you do want to go catch a train from Aigle to Lausanne and then the light rail to the Ouchy which takes less than 10 min
