Le Port d'Ouchy has a great park for the kiddos as well as a large selection of street vendors selling food and drinks. There are plenty of areas to sit, people watch and enjoy a relatively affordable lunch.

When traveling to Lausanne I always work my way down to the lake for a stroll after getting settled at the hotel. The views and people watching are a great way to combat jet lag.

Lovely view of Lake Geneva with well manicured flower beds. Enjoyable to take a walk on sunny days in the winter. There a number of restaurants too where one can stop to have a bite/drink.

Walked arquons the area. Nothing special. Yet the scenery is amazing. Was there late in the eve ending with fog down and boats approaching, seagulls ... very mystic in a nice way.

A 30 minute leisurely stroll from Lausanne, downhill, will take you to Lausanne's lakeside marina area as well as the port for the lake ferries - which you should try. (You can get back up to the city on the centrally positioned Metro). Amble along...More

It would be so cold there in winter everything would be covered in snow.but if you do want to go catch a train from Aigle to Lausanne and then the light rail to the Ouchy which takes less than 10 min
