Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We arrived in Lausanne mid-afternoon so we only had time to hit a few spots in the city we wanted to visit. We arrived from Montreaux via boat near the M2 Line Lausanne Ouchy-Olympique station. We bordered the M2 line and got off at the Lausanne Ours station and the Parc de Mon Repos was less than a ten minute walk from the station. When we visited, the park was not very busy but it was beautiful and in full bloom. As we wandered through the park, we enjoyed the splendid flower gardens and fountains sprinkled throughout the park. Going down another path, it was a path covered by many extremely old trees; simply gorgeous! Going down yet another path took us in front of the old International Olympic Committee headquarters; it was their HQ up until 1967. And again to mention the flower gardens - all in full bloom and in their spring splendor inclusive of so many different colors. We only wish we could have spent more time here as the beauty of the park is evident in every turn and step you take in its paths. Even if you are pressed for time, this park is worth spending at least one hour in it to take in its glory.

Around the Mon-Repos villa, an airy park with ancient trees, grassy lawns, fountains, rose garden, children's play area with carved animals, a sandpit and unusual musical instruments, a folly that opens as a restaurant in summer, sculpture, flowerbeds, two aviaries, fishponds and plenty of benches. Behind one of the arches of the villa is a huge ginkgo, and nearby a giant sequoia with gnarled and twisty roots that look like prehistoric animals; it has been roped off so children can no longer clamber among them.

Such a lovely park in Lausanne. It contains the headquarters of the Olympic committee (which was housed here from 1922 - 1967), a lovely aviary, fountains, statues, beautiful gardens, lawn areas. When I was here, there was a small group doing yoga; young families with children, going for a walk, people relaxing on blankets on the lawn. Such a quiet, lovely place. The trees are magnificent, as are the simple garden areas.

A spacious, calm park close to the city center. It is very clean, and very nicely looked after. The caged birds are a beautiful addition!

Parc de Mon Repos is a picturesque city park in the centre of Lausanne Switzerland.
There is a Gothic tower and the villa at the centre was once home to the National Olympic Committee.

This park is a scenic and calm niche in the heart of the city. It holds very nice lanes, flowers and old trees, some of then having seen generations of the city children. I regularly meet locals who would think of one with affection as "their" tree when they were small. The truth is some of them are so old and impressive that you'll find yourself coming back to pay a visit whenever you are around, just for the sheer peacefulness of the park. There is a very good salad bar where one can overwatch the kids playing and very well kept and happy birds from parrots to mandarins.
