In sunny Montreux, full of Christmas market stalls, we boarded the cog-wheel train which took us to Rochers-de-Naye. The ride lasted nearly an hour and the views of Lac Léman and Montreux were stunning. Rochers-de-Naye is situated just above 2000 m, and it was covered...More

We took the mountain train from Montreaux to reach these spectacular mountains. The mountain train lasted about 45mins but you were treated to spectacular views at the peak. There is a restaurant at the top too and hiking trails.

The railway trip in itself (55mins) is a must, for the views it affords as it climbs and wends its way up the mountain. When you arrive at Rochers de Naye, the views are truly spectacular. If it is open (summer only) do go and...More

If the weather is good, the views of the lake and mountains are spectacular. At Christmas, they have a Santa experience. Not much to do unless you want to sleep in a yurt.
