Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Lenin Apartment is the place, where the revolutionary was living, when he had to go to the exile before the soviet revolution. You only can see the main facade, which has a little explanation of this fact.
For us, it was very curious, because we did not know the existenxe of this house in Zurich and we found it by chance. We really came from Moscow and we stayed only few hours in Zurich waiting our next flight to return to house.

This is the apartment where Lenin resided in portions of 1916 and 1917. The building itself is nothing special and I am not sure if you can take a tour of it. We passed by it on our walking tour and the tour guide briefly told us the history and then we went on. From a historical point of view, it is rather important and interesting.

My family loved our walk on Spiegelgasse because of the wonderful rolling terrain and scenery with the houses and park. I highly recommend you walk the street just for the scenery and pick up history with Haus zum Rech, Lenin's apartment and Caberet Voltaire as you walk. Zurich's importance in world history has ebbed and flowed but there is no doubt one of its high points was as a neutral city in 1916. It is hard to imagine that this quaint street was the birthplace of the anti-war movement and Lenin was here in 1916 for much of that. Zurich was the epicenter for so much during WWI time frame and it all happened on this street. Visit for the scenery and soak up the history.

An unremarkable house, if not for a sign stating that “Lenin, the leader of the Russian revolution, lived here from February 21, 1916 to April 2, 1917.” It is located a few minutes' walk from Grossmüntser, at Spiegelgasse 14.
