We had a great night out here with a business group, but it would also be very suitable for families. Located just outside the city, about a 20 minute cab drive from Zurich airport. Situated in woodlands with plenty of parking. Restaurant was simple, but did a very tasty cheese fondue. Non-fondue meal was a basic burger and chips. Drinks... More

It is huge and it feels "in the forest". There are a lot of parking places and for those who don't skate, there is a nice little restaurant and great opportunities to walk in the woods surrounding it. They also organize events with discos etc. Great for the kids-

The Dolder Sports facility is open in the winter for iceskating (in the summer there is a outside swimmingpool). A ticket costs 8 Fr. and the rented skates 7 Fr. There are other garments you can rent, like icehockey outfits, but also pinguins for the little ones. The ice is regularly being cleaned by the icemachine. There is a icehockey... More

The ice skating season is open once again (from early Nov) complete with the Christmas tree in the middle. This must be one of the biggest ice rinks anywhere and even though it's very popular, it still usually leave sufficient space for everyone. There is a cafe as well for those wanting to sit down and read the paper and... More

Team event for a group of us, all without experience, and all anticipating a painful evening, but by the end all were keen to come again. Great training and coaching during the game, beers/chips during the game, and a great time by all. Really recommend for groups of friends or works outings.

Best ice-rink I've been to. Simple and easy entry, skates did not give me any problems (no blisters etc), and a great few hours skating around. Everyone follows the correct way to go (pheww)! There are polar bears to help the kids skate. Didn't eat in the restaurant, and stuff was safe enough on top of lockers (we didn't use... More

The Dolder Sports (artificial ice rink & in the summer the huge pool) is a super beautyful place next to the top hotel The Dolder Grand. The Restaurant at the ice rink is just not the price worth. Self-service should be for me a fast concept. After 30min I got my burger with soft and greasy french fries - just... More

Great plan to go with family and friends, specially for kids. A big ice rink with enough space for many people. There is a cafeteria and places to seat for the people who doesn't want to skate. After gets dark they play music and play of lights. It is open until 10.30pm, so is a good plan if your are... More

Stunning ice skating rink surrounded by trees. Under a blue sky approaching the sunset it is beautiful to skate, also as it is quite big. Staff is friendly and everything is organized well on the inside. Getting there by car can be a challenge because of the parking spaces, but then again, this is Zurich, "parking place hell" so you...
