This is a beautiful part of Zurich. Walk around and make sure you look up. Enjoy all the clocks, the nice little fountains, very cute shops and the atmosphere. Give yourself plenty of time to just wander the crooked streets.

We stayed in old town. Very quaint and bustling. Bars, restaurants, etc... Lots of action. We enjoyed it immensely.

We took the promenade through the city and saw the local market, architecture is amazing, stores are boutique and pricey (just normal for Switzerland). Nice to see.

All over the town are small stands and Christmas fairs with lot of tasteful food and drinks. Entire town is decorated so tastefully that makes it looks magical.

It was nice to walk about & enjoy the little shops & cafes. Full of old buildings well maintained. Enjoyed the visit very much, unfortunately we did not have time to linger as we were on a tight schedule. Would love to come back again.

The old town area is very pretty, lots of small streets with lovely old buildings to look at. It's quite hilly. Christmas lights added to the atmosphere.

We stayed at an apartment located within the old town. Followed the advice of the tourist office and took a walk on the suggested route. You won't be disappointed with the many cobble roads n old buildings. Christmas markets were also opened and you get a strong Christmas atmosphere and mood. Definitely a recommendation to visit.

The Limmat river and old town is surrounded by many good old fashioned Christmas trees (Storchen or Main Station) and modern variations. Bahnhofstrasse is equally decorative with small Xmas booths, great light shows (Lucie on Bahnhofstrasse, Stars on Loewenplatz or other lights in many side streets. Must visit is the Singing Christmas Tree near Main Station, where each evening children... More

We walked around and tried a lot of the Christmas markets booths and had lots to see and buy around this area. Very pretty alleys and streets. Worth a stroll for sure.
