Awesome Chagall windows

The Chagall windows are stunning. Great to sit and contemplate them. The crypt below was lovely too.

Just sit and stare at the astonishing Chagall stained glass windows. This church is by far the most beautiful church I've ever seen! The simplicity of the church adds to the beauty of the jewels that it holds! We were not asked to pay an admission fee.

The church form the outside is still an inspiring looking church. When you are inside the stain glass windows are spectacular and well worth the admission price.

Almost an embarrassment of riches with 6 Chagall stained-glass windows and a large Giacometti window. Stunning! There is a 5 euro admission fee but it comes with a short guide which helps to explain the history of the church and the windows. There are no restrooms on site.

Strolling down the classy and chic Bahnhofstrasse, turn right into Poststrasse and catch the first glimpse of a quintessential Zurich landmark, the pointy-headed clock tower of the Fraumünster Church.

The abbey is quite unassuming from the outside, so we are certainly glad we chose to take a peak inside. The abbey itself is lovely, but the real treasures are the Marc Chagall rose window and triptych stained-glass windows in the rear of the abbey. The cost is minimal and your visit here will be short, but meaningful.

I visited in a Sunday to see the stained glass windows by Chagall. I thought Sunday was a good day to visit as long as I didn't go in while a service was taking place. I entered the lobby and was told entry cost CHF5.00. On a Sunday! Instead I admired the banners, which are exact copies of the Chagall... More

Sort time ago, this church is asking for a CHF 5.- entrance fee. It's unbelievable, even for Zürich citizens and residents, attending this church quite often.

A visit to Zurich wouldn't be complete without a visit to the Fraumunster Abbey, in order to admire not only the lovely architecture, take in the history of the site, but also appreciate the 5 amazing stained glass windows located in the choir section. What makes these windows rather special is that they were designed by artist Marc Chagall (installed... More
