The Fraumunster was one the plainest and the nicest church I have ever seen. The stained glass windows of Chagall is creating a smooth, nice atmosphere in the church. I have never seen such nice visual depiction of Virgin Mary before. Fraumunster is one of the must see touristic places in Zurich.

The beautiful and stunning Chigall windows make this church special. The church is nicely designed and not overly decorated. There are clean lines and a sensible interior that give it a timeless and understated beauty (not like the baroque style in Italy). The stained glass windows by Chagall add deep and moving images to the visitor experience and are really... More

The history of this church is impressive but it wasn't very well presented. Other churches we visited were much more visitor friendly with written guides to what you were seeing and why it was significant in several different languages that you could carry with you while you walked around. This church had nothing like that.

Having seen tye grand cathedrals of Europe and coming from the Philippines where the church of a small much much poorer town would have a grander interior, this Fraumunster looks so oedestrian and even so ordinary. So dont visit with a mindset of comparing to a usual Catholic Church. BUT do visit because it is an important part of Zurich's... More

The main attraction in this plain church is the stained glass windows of Marc Chagall. There are 5 of them depicting bible scenes. Whenever I bring guests to Zurich, I consider this a must see.

You cannot miss the Frauminster - a pretty church in itself, slim lined and elegant on the outside, simple beauty within, it also houses some beautiful stained glass by the great artist Marc Chagall. I'd not have thought about it, but many of his paintings are already similar to stained glass, and the work he did in the tall, thin,... More

The Chagall stained glass windows are beautiful and well worth a quiet moment in your trip. The church itself is well preserved and has several relics on display.

Beautiful old church... gorgeous windows. Lots of history inside, and in the small garden area that is open.

Came to see the Marc Chagall windows after being blown away by the ones in St Stephen's church in Mainz. These ones were just not that inspiring to me, a bit "loose" in style. This is, of course, an utterly personal opinion, so if you are nearby I suggest you go and have a look and make your own mind... More
