There are several churches to take in when you visit Zurich: this is the one not to miss and even late in the day, it's a nice place to stop and take a break. I stopped in early evening and was lucky enough to catch the organist practicing. The large clock is also a great landmark to help you navigate... More

I was staying in the Altstadt (old town) above the lake and could not miss the clock tower of the church rising from the skyline when I came down to Rathaus tram stop on Limmatquai. Learning that St Peter Church is the oldest parish church in Zurich with the largest clock face (8.6m diameter ) of Europe I was compelled... More

Located in the old town, it has Europe's largest clock. Inside, you can see of lot of wood structures, and blinds in the windows of the top floor!!!! It is a nice and peaceful church about 15 minutes away by foot from the Train station.

Our tour guide told us that the clock tower, actually the clock itself,is the the biggest church clock in Europe!!!The diameter is like 8.6 meters!!!And the funny thing is,rhe tower and the church arw different colors, because the churchy part is owned by the church but thw clock tower is... Nearby the Fraumunster but we had trouble finding the right entrance. We took a flight of stairs leading to what we thought was the main entrance and obviously had to turn back. The right entrance is opposite an open area on the other side. I guess if you come from the direction of the nearby shopping street or Lindehof, you... More

This building is located in the center of the old town. Fell in love with the amazing architecture of this building. Will definately go there again in the future.

We enjoyed the simplicity of this church. The clock face on the steeple is one of the largest in Europe. Inside, the wood structures are beautiful and don't overwhelm the senses like some other more gaudy churches do. We spent several minutes in silence just enjoying the simple beauty of the construction.

this does is not to compare with the 2 other major churches but it is pretty in itself and its an cute quaint area. St. Peters has usually a fair amount of concerts and they are always incredible with the acoustic and should be seen. So when in town check and see what is playing, lots of it is also... More

This church offers a large face clock that is well known and worth a visit. It is best viewed from the plaza area near the church, and in fact there are many good viewing points for the clock. The inside is peaceful and fairly simple. It is a must see in Zurich.
