**The car park is currently being redeveloped. The site remains open, but has a reduced capacity as a result.**

Rhossili Bay lies at the western end of the beautiful Gower peninsula. 3 miles of golden sands, iconic landscapes including Worms Head and Rhossili Down and history everywhere- from neolithic through to the more recent, including home to Edgar Evans. Its a walker's dream with routes in all directions, including the Welsh coastal path. The beach is dog friendly all year round and the whole area is beautiful whatever the weather. Today, the National Trust cares for 2 of the 3 miles of the beach, Rhossili Down, and most of the coastline between Rhossili and Port Eynon. (26 miles of Gower coastline in total). The landscape is free. The village of Rhossili also contains other private businesses- The Worms Head Hotel, The Bay Bistro, Sam's Surf Shack, Coastal Surf And Gifts, The Causeway (cafe) and Rhossili Gallery. The car park is free overnight and free to members during the day. Non members are currently charged £4 per day (car). All profits from the car park go towards keeping the area beautiful. Please note that the toilets are owned and operated by Swansea Council.

Wurms head is well worth a visit as long as pre planning is considered to be on the safe side with the tides. If the tide times are not suitable there are still plenty of walking and relaxing opportunities in the area.

Could only girve an average rating due to the chaos caused by the building work in the parking area and the mess left by dog owners. The National trust are extending the parking area and will probably also extend the charges for the public to park and enjoy this area. Do not understand why dog owners would pick up mess... More

Wonderful huge beach with great views. What a shame that selfish dog owners don't seem to want to clear up after their dogs. To add insult to injury, some of them put it in the blue plastic bags and just dump it on the floor. Kind of defeats the object of putting it in a bag. These are probably the... More

One of the best beaches you will ever see with very few man made constructions in sight (apart from a small house and a pub at the top of the hill). If you want to think of hidden treasures then think of Rhossili Bay because the colours, scenery, and cleanliness of this beach makes for a perfect visit. It really... More

If you don't visit Rhossili during your time in West Wales - you are missing out on a spectacular sight!...best to visit on a warm, sunny day - preferably around July-Sept. Can be crowded, and there's only one bus that gets you there from central Swansea, so make sure to keep track of bus times. Not many eating places out... More

Hi David, thanks for highlighting the current parking challenges. On a positive note, we will have access to our overflow fields from this weekend, so instead of the 150 cars we will be able to cater for nearer 1000. The whole works programme is due to complete towards the end of May, ready for the summer and will deliver a... More
