It is sparsely furnished and very roomy so there was plenty of space for people. The Iran exhibition was good. The old Dutch house rooms were good. However, I kept getting static shocks off doors and bannisters. There was a cafe with an Iranian themed...More

Although small, this museum succeeds in organizing spectacular exhibitions in Assen. The replica of the Bisotun relief of Darius is great. Very difficult to approach the original in Iran.

We visited the Drents Museum for the first time to see the exhibition on American Realism. The exhibition is well organized and easy to view. The options in the gift shop are also good and varied. This was well worth the price of admission.
