Every week we organise Free Walking Tours in Leeuwarden. In 1,5 hours a passionate guide will show you Leeuwarden through their eyes. Expect funny historical stories, beautiful street-art and cute little shops and art galleries. The walking tours are every week (rain or shine). Meet us at the Oldehoofsterkerkhof. We will start next to the entrance of the Obe paviljon. Near the Ut Streekie shop and the Tourist information. Most of our tours are in Dutch. But on Saturday 12PM we also have an English guide and we have regular tours in German. Check our website to see the full scheduale and to sign up. All of our regular walking tours are Free Tours. If you liked the tour, you can give the guide a donation according to your own budget. It is also possible to book a private guide for a fixed price.

We thoroughly enjoyed our English speaking tour of lovely Leeuwarden with Kevin. Kevin is a talented story teller, peppering his informative insights with lots of humour and fun. Highly recommend!!

Nice 'free' tour which is actually pay what you think its worth. Cristina our guide is very knowledgeable about Leeuwarden, its history and present. Her familiarity and contacts with the museums and historic sites allowed us to have a few indoor viewings as well as the outdoor guided walk. Definately recommend for your first visit to Leeuwarden.

We participated in the free tour, a guide to Leeuwarden. Christina is an enthusiastic guide who showed us part of the city with background information. Afterwards we took a group photo and made a voluntary contribution. We were very satisfied with it.

I like the tour very much. Our guide spoke very good English and he brought us to several interesting places in Leeuwarden. He told us a lot of curiosities and he was a local, so he could advise us what to do and where to go.

Hi, We do the English free tour every Saturday. So if you are in leeuwarden on a Saturday you can join our English Free Tour (Dutch tours are every day and on there are also tours in German). The tour starts at the Oldehoofsterkerkhof, the square with the leaning tower. Please sign up beforehand via the Website of A Guide to Leeuwarden. Our public tours are Free Tours where you can pay what you think the tour was worth at the end of the tour.
