Amazing

You won't be able to stop looking at it. Easy to find just by the main centre of town. A great example of cathedral architecture

Does require a steep climb but offers great views of the city and its surroundings. Would recommend. Be sure to time your climb as the bells can be quite loud!

Buy your ticket (coin) at the local travel agency (VVV) opposite the tower from 3EUR (adult) and your climb can start after passing the automtically operated entrance gate (to avoid too many people in the twower at the same time). You can visit 3-4 different levels in the tower and at the last one (approx 60m high) you have the... More

Amazing nice tower with view after some climbing. It is the most well known monument of the city which you cannot miss.

I climbed this tower both time when I visited Groningen, and would do it again. There is amazing view on the city, you can see really cool details of the vearby buildings. The landscape of the city is also worth a visit. Only tricky thing is, that people use the same stairs for up and down, so many times you... More

Quite a long climb, but worth the effort. Breathtaking (literally) to get to the top, but breathtaking (figuratively) when you see the city :)

The steep climb up the tower is definitely worth it for the fabulous views over the city. On several days a week and for festivals the carillion is played live by a hugely talented and energetic musician offering a variety of classical music including Bach and more unusual offerings such as Abba and Leonard Cohen. Well worth the aching legs... More

A stunning tower attached to a beautiful church. Yes there is a lot of stairs as you would expect but the view of Groningen is worth it.

Right on the central square of Groningen. If possible attend an organ concert in this church. The Martini cemetery is just behind the church
