Interesting insight into horticultural history of Aalsmeer and the flower auction
Apr 2019 • Friends
Combining a visit to the Historical Horticultural Museum of Aalsmeer when visiting the largest flower auction in the world at Aalsmeer is really worthwhile. The guided tour by experienced former workers in the sector gives an excellent insight into the development of horticulture in the Netherlands. One can also actually participate in an auction of flowers and plants, The restaurant attached to the museum offers good service.

Horticulture Museum and Historical Garden
Oct 2018 • Couples
This Horticulture Museum and Historical Garden Aalsmeer is located near the parking place. The parking is free for 2 hours. When you visit this museum, you can get information about Aalsmeer self in the Historical Center Aalsmeer in the 1stt building and then in another building is about the museum self. And ofcourse you can visit the garden self with all the products such as fruits, vegetables, flowers, plants even tobacco leaves. You can even buy these all organic products. The most interesting was visiting the "old" auction building. We got information directly from a man who was once worked for years in that auction building. It's recommended place to visit

Great for Gardeners

Bot flashy but a very nice place for Gardeners and their friends to visit. Heirloom roses are especially nice with their fragrances. Many beds if flowers showing the development of horticulture in Holland.

Not very interesting for children
May 2016 • Family
I enjoyed all of the flowers and plants and an elderly gentlemen explained a bit to us about certain plants but the children missed an educational aspect on the way through the greenhouses. Lovely place to visit but I don't think that I would go back if I had to pay an entrance fee. We have museum cards.
