Welcome to Coffeeshop Amsterdam Located just a stones throw away from Central Station with 90 seats and a stylish decorated interior. This is the perfect spot with your friends or alone to ease your mind and just enjoy! Coffeeshop Amsterdam is located on the famous Haarlemmerstraat. Often referred to as the coffeeshop mile. Here you will find many of Hollands world famous coffeeshops. The dampkring was founded in 1993 by Jeroen and Paul; dampkring quickly gained international fame when the American blockbuster Ocean’s Twelve was filmed inside the coffeeshop. Jeroen and Paul are also the founders of one of the oldest coffeeshops of Amsterdam: Tweede Kamer Coffeeshop at Heisteeg 6 in Amsterdam. Tweede Kamer is a small coffeeshop in the city centre with mostly local visitors. Coffeeshop Tweede Kamer is well known throughout the Netherlands. Jeroen left the business in 2001. I come quite often at the shop to buy hashish, at least once a week. I’ve always met friendly staff and always appreciated the service.
Today one of the dealers (a short blonde Dutch guy with several tattoos) literally yelled at me in Dutch, I did ask him to speak English and he refuse to serve me and told me that if I want to live in this country I need to speak Netherlands. I did ask him more than once to relax and talking with respect, especially with a woman.
As he refused to serve me, another dealer did and he gave me a million little pieces of hashish which wasn’t even looking like white choco bloc.
The thing that shocked me the most is that no one of the 2 colleagues tried to make him stop talking s**t to me.

I think you should be more aware about the people you’re letting work in your shop.
I do your same job guys and I don’t treat people like s**t, especially without a reason!

So avoid this shop till the staff is so disrespectful.

A really good clean and professional coffeeshop. I visited recently and had a good experience. The bud tender was polite and efficient...and the dark haired dutch girl was a credit to the establishment.. she has really good energy and genuinely seemed to be enjoying her work. The hot chocolates are great and pure pre rolls are the best i tried whilst in Amsterdam. Nice place.

We’ve been coming here for years, since our first visit to Amsterdam 6 years ago. It’s always been a favourite of ours. Great quality and a nice, chilled environment. The lounge bar around the corner is also great and has a really good vibe… we just miss the main Coffeeshop being open all day!

Avoid if you want a gentle mellow experience!!! I visited the coffeeshop on my first visit to Amsterdam. Hadn't smoked in awhile and used to get paranoid. Hoped for some good supportive advice and pleasant environment to relax and have a good time in. Firstly , staff behind bar were terse and seemingly irritated about me asking about thc and cbd levels. Then, as my partner and I were discussing what to buy, a loud brash man demanded we got out of the way. As we started to move he physically shoved us to one side. When I told him he shouldn't be shoving potentially stoned people he aggressively told me to go away. I then mentioned what had happened to one of the staff who told me the guy was their security guard. When I noted he shouldn't be shoving people for no reason, another member of staff told me to "get over it " and "don't start crying" whilst miming tears with his hands. I was shocked by this attitude and treatment. I'm really concerned how often they talk like this to stoned people who may be paranoid or vulnerable feeling. They must create a lot of bad experiences for people. Again, avoid!

The best weed I have ever smoked, every time I am not disappointed at all! The store itself has many seats and possibilities to relax, drinks are delicious! I always enjoy to come back because I can rely on the great quality!

Nice coffee shop and not too crowded on a Friday night. Could still get a table. Staff wasn’t that helpful but had a good experience. Very good milkshakes, the chocolate one is the way to go.

Maybe there was a moment when this coffee was good seen the comments.
But that’s not the reality at al when you get in.
From all my stay in Amsterdam, the least welcoming and less cool place is this one.
As we enter the atmosphere of coffee was changed!
in fact the bouncer has a real worries because he came to our table because apparently there was a phone that sounded .. he began to shout in English, it was ridiculous everyone stopped talking and he has scares a group of young people including us.
I do not advise you to go at all. there is such a place where to spend a good time without being attacked.

Great spot in Amsterdam! Really high-quality products and good prices. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The shop also offers table service and a great menu of teas and coffee drinks. Definitely recommend if you are looking for a relaxing and chill coffee shop.

We went to several coffeeshops while visiting Amsterdam and read that Coffeeshop Amsterdam was one of the best so off we went. They do have the best brownie out of all the places we visited. Delicious, moist and very effective. Make sure you only eat 1/2 at first and wait an hour or two. Lesson learned :-)
