Spent most of time here - lots to do and also has a Bulldog Coffee shop here. Also a bit quieter than Dam Square.

Our first night in Amsterdam we went to Leiden Square to listen to Jazz music. We had a wonderful night and listened to some great music being played. Everything is open to the wee hours of the morning. Definitely a place to see and not as commercial and touristy as some of the other area's in the city.

A very long street, very crowded in the evenings, full of bars and restaurants. A good atmosphere with people enjoying themselves. Not like the Red Light District at all, more family orientated.

Nice little shopping center with everything you need. A restaurant, clothing store, groceries and a travel agent. Also conveniently close to public transport.

Great collection of bars and restaurants all in one place. You will be spoilt for choice of foods , my own favourites are the steak houses.

With a lot of the cool places like Cafe Lux, Sugarfactory, Paradiso, Hard Rock all in the vicinity, Liedseplein is definitely one of the areas one needs to hang out and explore in the city & offers a multitude of options to explore the city night life as well.

Really nice town a little bit off the beaten path. Great town with quite a few things to do. Its quite a picturesque town and the university also has a number of building/events so it offers things for young people as well as the old.

Some of the best stores and restaurants in the area. Easily navigable via street trams and buses. Must see!
